Tiaong, Quezon - Eighteen souls submitted to Water Baptism in Tiaong, Quezon, Philippines in a one-time mass baptism held on February 23, 2019 officiated by Solomon Belic, resident Pastor of OPIF-Phil S3. This happened after a week of lesson series on Steps of Salvation conducted by Pastor Belic.
With an initial cell group attendees of 7, the group headed by Ptr. Belic extended evangelism work to nearby Barangays where more attendees participated in. It was initially set for Sis. Rachele de Alday’s household in Poblacion I, Tiaong, Quezon after the latter invited Pastor Belic to lead the mission. Ms. Alday is a devote apostolic Pentecostal of OPIF Abu Dhabi.
“We humbly started with just 7 attendees and with the tremendous working power of God, the cell group has expanded to 38 attendees at present and we are expecting more souls to be added to the church of the Lord”, Pastor Belic said in an interview.
True enough, 5 more souls accepted the call to Water Baptism in Jesus name in another batch of submission held on March 23, 2019, just a month after the first batch. This made to 23 souls the total number of water submissions conducted in a span of 1 month.
“Tiaong, Quezon is a satellite ministry under my watch and we started our first visit on May 12, 2018 after I was invited by Sis Alday. The initial mission was the residence of Sis. Alday. The visit became regular and Bible Study has since then conducted regularly and expanded to nearby Barangay as well”, stressed Ptr. Belic.
“Right now, we are planning to have Cell Group Anniversary if that is possible by August this year and we will be needing more Bibles for the group”, explained Pastor Belic.
He added that “the only mission we had was the family of Sis. Rachele but God revealed to me that He has a bigger plan, so right after the visitation, I asked the elders of the church to unite for a prayer and fasting and we also had prayer walk to prepare themselves for the next activities that God is going to instruct us”.
Tiaong, Quezon cell group is one of the largest cell groups with 38 regular attendees while the recently opened cell group in Aliaga, Nueva Ecija headed by Bro. Fred Dasig has regular attendees close to 30 a week.
OPIF-Phil baptism commitment was set at 281 this year inked during the 2018 General Conference held in Cuenca, Batangas.
