Sta. Rosa, Laguna - Nearly a hundred brethren joined the Church Anniversary Celebration of OPIF PH Sector 3 via Zoom held last November 14, 2021. Almost all sectors were present following the instruction of the National Presbyter, Pastor Solomon Vili, days before the event asking all pastors to send at least a representative in order to show love and support to the celebrating church. It was also graced by the presence of the Vice Chairman of the Board and Finance Directress,  Pastor Emiliano Neric and Pastor Marilyn Neric, respectively, who themselves are active members of Sector 3. Seen also in the said event were some of the National Council Leaders headed by the National Overseer, Pastor Victor Notario Sr. Pastor Alex Mapa from Australia, Bro. Floro Torres from USA, and some brethren from the Middle East Conference also attended the fellowship service while a few others watched the livestream made available in the OPIF Global Community group page.

The worship was opened with a consecration song and a prayer led by Pastor Solomon Vili. “Gifts are being given to those who are celebrating their birthdays and so is OPIF PH Sector 3 which is celebrating its 6th year Anniversary. God will reward us this day the gift of the Holy Ghost. And we are grateful to Him who has strengthened His church making it possible for us to reach this far,” said Pastor Emiliano Neric in his welcome remarks.

Immediately after is a quick recapping of the church history by Pastor Solomon Belic, Resident Pastor of OPIF PH Sector 3. “I can’t say the journey was easy but it was indeed a joyous one. We have encountered a lot of trials along the way but as we grow in the ministry, we are being made stronger by our Lord JESUS CHRIST,” Pastor Belic said as he looked back on their history. He then proudly shared how God made His church fruitful as it was evident because the church now has a daughter church in OPIF PH Sector 9 in Tiaong, Quezon and a couple of cell groups in Mahayag and in a Jumbo Bus Company in Tanauan, Batangas. “The church was not fruitful just because of one person but because of the joint efforts of all members of the church. And because of that, I am grateful to each one of them who has been supportive all along to the works of Christ,” Pastor Belic continued.

A group of saints from Romblon which is considered as an extended family of OPIF PH Sector 3 had rendered a special song to the Lord. It was led by Bro. Frederick Corpuz and his family. It was then followed by a short exhortation for tithes and offering by Pastor Marilyn Neric. Thenceforth, brethren from Sector 3 offered a song about God’s amazing grace. The worship continued as Sector 3 Deputy Pastor, Pastor Marilyn Belic, led the praise and worship.

“I have witnessed how difficult the ride has been in Sector 3. I do believe the church has been victorious all because of the strength God is giving her,” said Pastor Victor Notario Sr.  as he gave some words of encouragement.  He also reminded the church to pray at all times to be able to withstand all challenges and attacks of the enemies. “A prayerful church is a powerful one. Let’s stand firm and be strong in faith,” he concluded.

Shortly after, Pastor Solomon Belic introduced the event’s Guest Speaker, Pastor Martino Cortan, a former Chairman of the Board and now a Pastor of Pangasinan Cell Group. Pastor Mar then preached on the 6th Church Anniversary theme found in 1 Corinthians 16:13, “Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.”

“In 1 Corinthians 16, Paul wrote to show concern to the Lord’s church. This was effective in strengthening everyone in the ministry. This also should be our case since we are one body in Christ. Like Paul, we  need to show concern to each and everyone,” said Pastor Mar as he started preaching the Word. He continued saying, “The Word warned us to be on guard at all times because it knows what danger we are facing as workers of the gospel of our Lord JESUS CHRIST. But not to worry because the Lord is with us as we continue to do His will in sharing His Word to lost souls.”

“Remember the devil won’t just sit down and watch you. He will keep on attacking us just to prevent us from doing God’s purpose in our lives. So don’t be surprised when you go through difficulties but stand fast in faith! It is important for us to be strong to be able to continue doing what God desires us to do and that is to spread the gospel to the whole world because it is His will for every soul to be saved,” as he continued preaching. Pastor Mar also then reminded the church with God’s Word to put on the whole armor of God as he quoted Ephesians 6. He also mentioned in his preaching the importance of fellowship, studying the Word of God, and praying to God in order to be victorious in faith.

The event was made a success with a great outpouring of the Holy Ghost as Pastor Belic and Pastor Neric led the church in the Altar Calling. After which, the event was concluded with a prayer led by the resident pastor himself. This two hour celebration was hosted by Sis. Rachele Neric, a Sector 3 member and OPIF PH National Education Directress.
