Nowadays, people are too busy with their careers, businesses, and so many other things that they forget to include God who should be top in the list of their priorities. Our minds are too preoccupied with things that we thought might help solve our problems and worst, with things that don’t even matter at all. We are too hooked up with temporal things which is strongly opposed by 2 Corinthians 4:18, “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

If we take a look on the situation of the world today, people are panicking about things that are beyond their control. They insist to take things on their own hands in which they only end up frustrated. Life now is way different from the past. Because it has become more complex than it used to be, it has become too unpredictable as well. The Bible constantly warns us just like in Jeremiah 17:5 to never trust your own strength. Doing so can be very dangerous for us. This will only lead us to having pride in our hearts. It’s like believing that you can do things alone, without God helping you. Proverbs 16:18 says, “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before stumbling.”

It would be very difficult to live life without the guidance of the Creator, He who has the knowledge of all things. Living without Him is like walking into an unfamiliar forest filled with wild beasts. With just a single wrong move, you’ll definitely fall into a trap. Indeed without Him, it would be impossible to survive such ordeal. The best thing we really can do is to surrender our life fully to Him, to trust Him completely in all aspects of our lives, and to put Him first in everything.

Living in the will of God is the secret to having a peaceful and joyful life. You’ll never go wrong if you will just let Him lead the way and let Him control your life to the littlest detail of it. It is a fact that without Him we can do nothing. John 15:5 says, “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” We are really helpless and hopeless without Him.

Putting JESUS first in your list is a decision to always obey His Word in whatever circumstances you are in. It is a decision to always consider God above everything and to never compromise your faith in Him. And doing this is an invitation to God’s enormous blessings. This is the only way for us to be blessed for it’s only JESUS who holds the key to life’s gigantic blessings. He’s the ultimate source and there’s none beside Him. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” There’s a popular saying that says, “Put God first and you will never be last.”

Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
